Apply discount code
Turn on “Apply discount code” to let customers add a discount code to their order from the Thank you or Order status page. It’s the post-purchase version of entering a code at checkout. A code is accepted only if the full current cart still meets every condition Shopify enforces on it, like minimum order value, eligible products or collections, customer eligibility, usage limits, and expiry. Customers can stack multiple codes wherever Shopify’s own rules allow it.Validate discounts during order edits
Turn on “Validate discounts during order edits” to have Recheck re-check the discounts already on the order whenever the cart changes, and remove any that no longer qualify. The order total is then recalculated on the new cart and the difference is settled as a payment or refund. This works even without “Apply discount code,” since orders can already carry codes applied at checkout. For example, a customer who checked out with a buy-two-get-one-free offer and then removes one of the qualifying items no longer meets the offer’s condition, so the discount is removed and the total recalculated.Apply automatic discounts
Turn on “Apply automatic discounts” to have Recheck apply a Shopify automatic discount when an edit makes the order newly eligible for it. A common case is an edit that pushes the cart over a free-shipping threshold.This toggle only appears once “Validate discounts during order edits” is on.
