Why use this setting?
Recalculating shipping fees keeps shipping charges accurate when customers change their address or update their order during the editing window. When an edit pushes the cart over or under a free-shipping threshold, adds an item that needs a different shipping method, or changes the state on the address, Recheck works out the correct fee and settles the difference as one net payment or refund.Show the shipping method selector
A second toggle, “Show shipping method selector even if shipping fees do not change,” appears once Recalculate shipping fees is on. By default, the shipping method selector only shows up when an edit actually changes the shipping fee. Turn this on to surface the selector on every edit, even when the fee doesn’t change, so customers always have the option to switch their shipping method. The selector lists every shipping method available for the order, with the first option pre-selected. It doesn’t default to the method the customer chose at checkout. Most brands leave this off to avoid adding friction when shipping hasn’t changed. Brands that turn it on use it as an upsell, since a customer might pick a faster, more expensive method.Available on paid plans.
